- 1/3 cup brown chocolate melting wafers
Christmas Puppy Chow
- 2 cups Rice Chex cereal
- 2 cups mini marshmallows
- 2 cups square pretzels
- ¾ cup white chocolate melting wafers
- Red sanding sugar
- Green sanding sugar
- ⅓ cup powdered sugar
- ¼ cup red/green M&Ms
Additional Ingredients to create the board
Charcuterie board (11in x 11in board was used)
Directions
Pretzel Bites
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Place the pretzel squares onto the baking sheet with a Hershey’s kiss on each.
Bake for 3 minutes.
Once removed, immediately put an M&M on the top of each one and slightly press down. Set aside to cool.
Reindeer Pretzels
Melt the chocolate according to the package directions.
Dip two pretzel rods together into the chocolate about ⅓ of the way and place on a piece of parchment paper. Repeat to make 15 sets. Allow to fully cool.
Once cooled, repeat the dipping process again for each set coating the pretzels half way.
Once the chocolate has slightly set but is still soft, put the eyeballs and mini red M&M in place to make the face. Set aside to cool.**
Christmas Puppy Chow
Combine the cereal, marshmallows and pretzels into a large bowl.
Melt the white chocolate wafers according to the package and drizzle on top of the mixture.
Once the pieces are coated, spread out onto the baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Sprinkle on the red and green sanding sugar.
Dust on the powdered sugar and transfer into your serving bowl.
Add the M&Ms on top.
Assemble The Christmas Snack Board
Assemble the board with the Puppy chow in center, the pretzel hugs and chocolate reindeers on each corner and fill in the extra space with marshmallows, M&Ms, raspberries, strawberries, green grapes and cheese.
Enjoy!
**Additional Notes: If you try to put the eyeballs on right after you have dipped the pretzels in chocolate, they will slide off and won’t stick. You need to wait about a minute and then put them on 🙂
