Cute Snowman Brownies
Servings: 14
Prep time: 25 minutes
Ingredients:
- 9×13 inch pan of prepared and cooled brownies (box made or homemade recipes)
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 3-4 tbsp milk
- 7 Mini Reese’s cups
- 28 candy eyeballs
- 14 orange sprinkles
- 28 M&Ms buttons
- 14 pretzel sticks
Directions
Use a sharp knife to cut the pan of brownies in half lengthwise, then cut each smaller section into 7 triangles. The ends will not be used.
Arrange the brownie triangles on a tray or baking sheet.
Cut the Reese’s Cups in half. Break the pretzels in half.
Mix the powdered sugar and milk together to form a thick icing. You need it not to be too thin or it will spread over the sides of the brownies.
Working in batches of 3, so the icing doesn’t harden before you can decorate.
Drop a little icing onto the center of the brownie, and use the spoon to work it down and out – slightly rounded, then up. You want to not quite touch the edges.
Now add a half Reese’s Cup towards the top for the hat, then two candy eyeballs underneath. Drop an orange sprinkle between and slightly under the eyes.
Arrange two of the same color M&Ms down the middle for the buttons.
Arrange two pretzel halves on either side of the “snowman”.
Once you’ve decorated 3, keep going in batches of 3 until finished.
Enjoy!
FAQ
Can I use boxed brownie mix for this recipe?
Absolutely! Boxed mix works great and saves time. If you prefer homemade, go for it! Either way, the snowmen will be delicious.
What kind of icing do I need?
A quick mix of powdered sugar and milk makes the perfect icing. It’s simple, sweet, and easy to pipe onto your brownies. If you prefer to use a store bought icing, any white icing will work well.
How far in advance can I make these?
You can bake and cut the brownies a day ahead, then decorate them the day you plan to serve. This keeps the icing and candy looking fresh.
Can kids help with decorating?
Definitely! Decorating the snowmen is a fun, hands-on activity for kids—just be ready for a little extra “taste testing” along the way. Bake the brownies and prepare the decorations ahead of time for the best results.
Tips & Tricks
- Chill brownies before cutting for cleaner edges.
- Use a piping bag or zip-top bag with the corner snipped for easy icing control.
- Let the icing set for a few minutes before serving so decorations don’t slide.
- Mix and match candies (mini chocolate chips, sprinkles, gumdrops) to give each snowman its own personality.
