Oreo Mummies

Yields: 25 Oreo Mummies
Preparation: 15 minutes
Setting time: 15 minutes

Ingredients

  • 25 Oreos
  • 10 ounce package white candy melts
  • 50 candy eyeballs

Equipment

  • Baking tray
  • Parchment paper
  • Small piping bag
  • Microwave or double boiler, to melt the wafers/chocolate

Directions

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.

Place the white melting wafers in a microwave-safe piping bag and microwave on a low or defrost setting in 30-second increments. Massage the bag each time you check on it. Once melted, allow it to cool for about 3-5 minutes until the bag is cool to the touch.

Lay the Oreos out on the prepared baking pan and space them a few inches apart.

Snip a small piece of the tip off of the piping bag and then drizzle the bandages onto the mummies, from left to right.

Immediately add the eyes before it sets. This first layer will help them stick.

After you’ve added the eyes, go back over all of the cookies and drizzle on more bandages. Go diagonally in different directions and make it fun.

Allow to set completely before serving. To speed up the process, you can refrigerate for 15-30 minutes until the bandages are set.
