FAQ
Can I use regular green candy melts instead of the tinted ones?
Yes! You can use green candy melts – just keep in mind that the shade of green will be a bit darker and not as bright.
What type of food coloring works best with candy melts?
Oil-based or candy-specific gel food coloring works best, as water-based colors can cause the candy melts to seize or become grainy.
Can I dip the Oreos instead of using a piping bag?
Sure! You can dip the Oreos directly in the candy melts instead of using the piping bag. You might need more candy melts than the directions call for.
Can I make these Grinch Oreos ahead of time?
Absolutely! Store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, or refrigerate to keep them fresh longer.

Tips & Tricks
- If the candy melts start to thicken, microwave in short 10-second bursts and stir until smooth.
- If you’re using oil-based food coloring, keep in mind that it thins out the candy and takes extra time to harden.
- If the piping bag becomes too hot to hold, wear an oven mitt or hold with a paper towel.
- Let the coated Oreos set on parchment paper to prevent sticking.
- For extra sparkle, add a sprinkle of edible glitter or sugar crystals along with the Grinch sprinkles!
