Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Prepare a 9×11 baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
In a mixing bowl add the softened butter and white and brown sugars. Beat together for 2 minutes until combined. Add the egg and vanilla extract mixing once again until combined.
